The Samsung PC autoback seems to be interfering with my printer ports/usb connections and preventing me from printing with my Brother MFC 240C USB printer.
Any suggestions?

Also, i do not recommend repairing or opening hdd by yourself. Hard disk must be treatet in clean chamber class 100. Tiny dust particles on hdd can lead to permanent data loss.
